Bahakel's Barker To Retire

Bahakel/Chattanooga GM Bernie Barker is retiring June 30 after 12 years with the cluster that includes Classic Country WUUQ. Dir./Programming Danny Howard will succeed Barker as GM. “Danny will continue to work with Bernie during this transition and to bring new ideas to the table for the Chattanooga market,” CEO Beverly Bahakel shares via The Chattanoogan. Barker joined in 2009 after a decades-long career that includes stops in Montgomery, Mobile and Birmingham.
