Darren Davis To Retire:

iHeartMedia COO/Digital Audio Group Darren Davis will step down when his contract expires at the end of the year. Davis joined then-Clear Channel at AC WASH/Washington, DC in 1997. In 1999, he took over as OM at CBS Radio/Houston, which included programming duties for KILT and then-Country KIKK. He returned to Clear Channel in 2002 as an RVP, rising through the ranks as SVP/National Programming, then EVP & GM, before assuming his current role in February (CAT 2/25). "Anyone who knows Darren knows he has a deep love for iHeart and a true passion for our business and our success, and he’ll be continuing with the company as an advisor when he steps down," say CEO Bob Pittman and COO Rich Bressler in an internal memo. The memo also states Davis will be focusing on other projects including real estate development and traveling with his family.
