A Knight In Country’s Court

Bits & Pieces: KFGY, KZSN, KNUC

Sonoma KFGY/Santa Rosa, CA PD/afternoon host Dano Weir hosted Santa Rosa Fire Department Captain Mike Musgrove last week to discuss Capt. Musgrove’s personal home loss. While he was out battling the California wildfires and saving other’s houses, Capt. Musgrove’s own home burned. After Weir shared the story on-air, KFGY listeners rallied in support of Musgrove, and a GoFundMe to assist him with rebuilding has skyrocketed to more than $112,000. Listen to Weir’s interview with Musgrove here.

iHeartMedia/Wichita SVPP & Country KZSN PD/midday personality Jim Dorman is showcasing his hidden talent – Christopher Walken impersonation – with his new bit, What In The World Is Christopher Walken Reading? Each day at 11:35am CT, Dorman reads lyrics from a country song in his best Walken voice, and listeners are invited to guess the song in order to win prizes. Check out Dorman’s impression here.

Hubbard KNUC/Seattle is celebrating National Mascot Appreciation Day today (10/14) with social media content devoted to the station’s $1,000 Cash Cow. Check out the contest here, and see the station’s Facebook video posts here.
