WHKR Latest To Drop Nash Branding

Cumulus WHKR/Melbourne, FL has dropped its Nash FM branding in favor of “102.7 The Hitkicker” with a new logo (pictured). The station website has been rebranded, as well (see here). WHKR is the latest Cumulus station to retire the Nash FM branding, joining KAYD/Beaumont, TX; WNNF/Cincinnati; KATC/Colorado Springs; WDRQ/Detroit; WKDF/Nashville; WXBM/Pensacola, FL; WFYR/Peoria, IL; WLXX/Lexington, KY, which also changed its call letters to WVLK last month (CAT 9/4); and most recently, KXKC/Lafayette, LA (CAT 9/8). The move from Nash FM comes just two months after Tommy BoDean was named cluster OM and WHKR PD (CAT 8/10).
