Bits & Pieces: KUBL, Bonneville, WKIS, SiriusXM, Dillon Carmichael

Cumulus KUBL/Salt Lake City PD/afternoon personality Travis Moon held his second annual Travis Moon Walk this week, trekking 80 miles from Provo, UT to Ogden, UT in five days to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Moon cataloged his journey via Facebook and carried a laptop and microphone to do his show from the road – literally. Check out his video posts here, and text ‘MOON’ to 785-833 to donate to St. Jude in honor of the Travis Moon Walk

Bonneville KNCI/Sacramento PD/afternoon host Joey Tack was joined by Emmis WLHK/Indianapolis PD/midday personality Ryan Wild and NBA’s Sacramento Kings VP/Kings Academy & Professional Development Dr. Galen Duncan for a virtual town hall to discuss mental health and suicide prevention. The Table Talk episode aired across all Bonneville station social media platforms, including Country sister KYGO/Denver, and is available to watch here.

Newly paired Entercom WKIS/Miami morning co-hosts Tim “TC” Conlon and Dina B. placed wagers on the outcome of Wednesday’s (9/16) 55th ACM Awards, with the loser having to do “something embarrassing on social media.” As it turns out, Dina B. is the better of the two at pick ‘em, and Conlon – a devout University of Miami football fan – will now be required to put aside his pride and team allegiance for one day and sport FSU gear. Watch here.

NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat took over SiriusXM’s The Highway today (9/17) for a special guest DJ session featuring his top country song picks. Butler’s Chores Playlist was recorded while in the NBA “bubble” in Orlando and features songs from Sam Hunt, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs and Kane Brown. The takeover will be rebroadcast throughout the weekend and is available on demand here.

Did Riser House’s Dillon Carmichael and his girlfriend, Shayla, just start a new viral challenge? Maybe! Carmichael posted a video to social media platforms Wednesday (9/16) showcasing the couple’s attempts to hang a wreath on a high interior wall without a ladder. Check it out here.
