SXM's Meyer To Retire, Witz To Succeed Him; Massad Leaves The Highway

SiriusXM CEO James E. “Jim” Meyer is set to retire December 31, at which time Pres./Sales, Marketing & Operations Jennifer C. Witz will succeed him. “During [Jim’s] tenure as CEO, SiriusXM has grown to become a diversified audio entertainment provider that is poised to reach more than 150 million people, the largest addressable digital audio audience in North America,” says SXM Chairman of the Board Gregory B. Maffei. “We are a better company for his stewardship. Jennifer brings the thorough understanding of our business from every angle. She has played a key role in significantly growing SiriusXM’s subscriber base [and] will lead the company’s strong executive team as it continues building out its platforms and executes on its growth strategies.” Witz joined SXM in March 2002 as SVP/Finance and was named to her current post last March.

At SiriusXM's The Highway, The Storme Warren Show morning producer Thomas "Tommy" Massad is leaving to begin his career in songwriting. "Since I started writing songs at 17, I think I've always known deep in my heart that songwriting would be in my future," shares Massad via Instagram. He joined SXM in 2017 following time with CAA. No word on plans for the position with The Storme Warren Show.
