CAW Recap

Storied careers aren't commonplace in any industry, but when it comes to radio and the music business, stories are behind everything. Consider, if you will, a young girl who thought she would blaze a trail as a female civil engineer but found herself instead sharing her own stories as a long-tenured hometown radio superstar. Or, look to the story of another young woman who rode into town with a love of cowboy music and earned accolades setting those tales to music. WHKO/Dayton PD/morning host Nancy Wilson celebrated 30 years with the station in May, while songwriter/producer Sharon Vaughn will be feted as a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in October. Read about them and much more in last night's (9/9) Country Aircheck Weekly.
