Chronicle: Tim Menowsky

Radio veteran Tim Menowsky died Saturday (4/15) in Nashville after a short illness. He owned stations in Pennsylvania and Kansas, was the GM of WRBQ/Tampa when it flipped to Country in 1993, brokered station sales for Communications Equity Associates, served as VP for Keymarket/Pittsburgh, was on the CRS agenda committee, and more recently, consulted sales departments for radio and television. "From the time we attended the R&R Convention in Dallas as college students in 1977," says 12 Management's Frank Bell, "it was obvious Tim was 'a people person'. His greatest legacy is the untold number of broadcasters he influenced along the way as a teacher, a coach and a friend." He is survived by his daughter Katie and son Jeffrey. Services are pending.
