WJXY/Myrtle Beach, SC Flips To Country

Colonial has flipped recently acquired WJXY/Myrtle Beach, SC to Country as "93.9 Carolina Country" with company VP Christy "Sweet Tea" Andrulonis handling programming. The lineup consists of Sun's syndicated Fitz in the Morning, Charles "Boz" Bosworth (local middays) and Andrulonis (afternoons). Evenings are vacant for the time being; Bosworth doubles as APD. The station has played Country music before, most recently as a Southern Rock/Country hybrid under the ownership of Volt Radio (CAT 1/30/13). Competition in the market includes Qantam's WGTR and Cumulus' WLFF, which posted a 6.9 (3) and 2.3 (10), respectively, the Nielsen's most recent diary survey. Reach Andrulonis here.
